Arthur Price rebrands factory shop after becoming biggest in the UK

LICHFIELD cutlery and gift manufacturer Arthur Price has rebranded its factory shop after it became the biggest outlet of its type in the UK.
The outlet, which will now be called ‘Arthur Price Lichfield Store’, stocks a minimum of 500,000 pieces of cutlery.
Simon Price, Arthur Price CEO said: “Our factory shop has been a part of the city’s retail landscape for many years and as with all shops you sometimes get chatting to customers. One Saturday morning I was working in the shop and I got talking to a customer about the origins of the shop. The conversation moved onto facts and figures and he asked me how many items were in the shop. I replied at least half a million and he asked me if it was the biggest in the UK?
“This got me thinking. We are biggest UK-based manufacturer of cutlery. As a conservative estimate we always have 500,000 pieces in the shop – anything from a single spoon for 20p to a gold-plated 88 piece canteen for £8,000.”
The store is based at the Arthur Price headquarters on the Britannia Industrial Estate.
