Warwickshire homes build is up and running

WORK is underway on a £2.8m construction project in North Warwickshire, which will see the creation of a range of new homes aimed at first-time buyers.
Coventry-based Deeley Construction has started work on the residential development which will see 42 new houses built on the former Miners Welfare Club site in New Arley, which is being developed by The Cassidy Group.
The previously derelict site is being regenerated to include two, three and four bedroom properties for Bromford, a regionally-based affordable housing provider.
The houses are set to be completed by March 2014 and will be available to first time buyers for shared ownership, shared equity and for rent.
The development is supported by North Warwickshire Borough Council and has funding from the Homes and Communities Agency.
Martin Gallagher, managing director of Deeley Construction, said: “This is a much-needed development and we are very pleased to be working alongside Bromford and Cassidy Group on the scheme.
“We have worked with Cassidy Group before on several projects and it is always good to operate with another local company on a development which will be of great benefit to the area.”
John Hannon, development manager of Cassidy Group, said: “We are very excited to be developing much needed quality homes for the people of Arley and providing the opportunities for trainees to learn important new skills.”
