Anthony Collins Solicitors announces new senior partner

LAW firm Anthony Collins Solicitors has announced a new senior partner in the shape of Peter Hubbard. He will formally take the reins from Romaine Thompson next May.

The announcement signals the end of a nine year tenure for Thompson who joined the Birmingham firm in 1989 and became senior partner in 2005.

Under her leadership, the firm has secured its position as a specialist practice in the charities, social housing and local government sectors as well as growing its work for private individuals in the West Midlands.

Thompson said: “This really is an exciting time for the firm. We’ve invested heavily in our people and our infrastructure and we’re very clearly focused on our key client sectors, all of which is a good platform for growth into the future.

“Peter is an exceptionally able successor with the drive and passion to take the firm forward and I’m eagerly anticipating playing my part in supporting his vision for the next phase of the firm’s development.”

Hubbard  said: “Despite challenging market conditions, Romaine’s guardianship, as well as the hard work, dedication and skills of our teams at ACS has helped position the firm for growth in our chosen sectors.

“As a firm, our future focus is very much on the client agenda, how we develop our client offering and building on the excellent relationships that are already in place.”

Hubbard is currently a partner specialising in the social housing sector. He is known for his projects and governance work with registered providers, local authorities and arms’ length management organisations.

He becomes only the fifth senior partner since the firm’s launch in 1973.
