Black Country Chamber of Commerce announces its awards shortlist

THE Black Country Chamber of Commerce has announced the shortlist for its Manufacturer of the Year and Service Provider of the Year awards.

The winners will be announced at the chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner tonight.

The judging panel, chaired by Mike Dell, immediate past president of the chamber and managing director of Ramsay Rubber, has completed the shortlist.

In the Manufacturer of the Year Award, sponsored by Crowe Clark Whitehill, the shortlisted firms are:

Lift & Engineering Services Ltd
Teepee Electrical Ltd
Thomas Dudley Ltd

Johnathan Dudley, Midlands managing partner and head of Manufacturing Business at Crowe Clark Whitehill, said: “In selecting the shortlist, we have considered applicants, turnover and profit achievements in the financial year ended 2013 as well as their commitment to innovation, and business sustainability, including, of course, addressing the long term skills issues that manufacturers tell us is their biggest issue.

“The shortlist all scored well in each of the above categories and should be congratulated for their achievements over the last year.”

In the Service Provider of the Year Award, sponsored by GTG Training, the finalists are:

The Business is Good for the Black Country Awards Dinner takes place at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
