Jumar wins a place on two government IT frameworks

SOLIHULL-based IT consultancy Jumar Solutions has won a place on two national technology initiatives.

The firm has become part of the Government’s G-cloud and digital services frameworks – both of which are designed to provide the public sector with easy access to specialist IT solutions.

G-cloud is an online portal which enables public bodies to easily procure cloud- based solutions and services.  It allows Jumar to offer its IT modernisation expertise to help organisations embrace cloud technology as well as developing cloud applications and providing consultancy.

The digital services framework is designed to save up to £1.8bn per year by moving public services online, and brings together a pool of suppliers which can be accessed by government bodies across the country without having to run complex buying exercises.

This news follows on from a number of recent successes for Jumar. Earlier this year, the company experienced a 33% growth spurt when it opened a new office in the North West, undertook a significant contract for a major corporate client, and employed its first permanent account manager at its Australian subsidiary.

Jumar’s managing director Wendy Merricks says: “This is great news – not only for Jumar, but it also demonstrates that small-to-medium sized firms in the West Midlands can supply complex value-added services alongside the major industry players.

“Our focus has always been to add value, and we are confident that this will deliver considerable benefits to the public bodies who will use these frameworks.”
