Rosso E Nero’s waiting, serving Italian

AN Italian restaurant in Wolverhampton has undergone a £30,000 refurbishment and name-change.
Rosso E Nero, previously Don Salvo, has seen a major refit to its Darlington Street premises. The work required the venue to be closed for four weeks while the transformation was completed.
The 65-seat restaurant is being run by the experienced duo of Nik Avdia alongside chef Paulo Gjeloshi. The opening has created six new jobs.
Avida said: “Paulo and I have worked together in many Birmingham city centre, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield premises and this is a new venture for us to move to Wolverhampton.
“For over 20 years, I have worked front of house greeting customers and helping them with their menu choices while Paulo has been busy in the kitchen creating tempting dishes.
“Around £30,000 has been spent on the refurbishing the interior of the dining space and the kitchen area.”
Accountants Baldwins advised the owners on the project.
Mark Craddock, a partner at firm’s Stourbridge office, said the restaurant was well known in Wolverhampton and was expected to be popular with diners in the city.
“Nik and Paulo have a great deal of enthusiasm and knowledge of the dining sector in the Midlands which will prove crucial in making Rosso E Nero a success,” he said.
