Leading manufacturers and service sector firms gather for Solihull jobs fair

LEADING manufacturers and service sector firms are taking part in a jobs fair in Solihull aimed at easing employment worries for people in the borough.

The fair has been organised by Solihull Council in partnership with Jobcentre Plus and Solihull College. The event will have a seasonal Airport and Hospitality theme, but there are other businesses from a variety of sectors that will be promoting seasonal and permanent jobs on the day.

The event takes place on Friday February 28, between 10am and 2pm at the Ramada Encore Hotel at the NEC.

Businesses already confirmed are: Asda, Birmingham Airport – Airport Placements, West Midlands Police, OCS/NEC Group, Hilton Metropole, St Johns Hotel, Premier Inn, Secure Trust Bank, Amway UK, Care Through the Millennium, Hampton Manor Hotel, Armed Forces, Caremark, Midland Care Services, LaSer, Manpower, Jaguar Land Rover, UPS,  The Gaming Academy, Holiday Inn.

Cllr Ian Courts, Solihull cabinet member for Economic Development, said: “This is a great opportunity for people, particularly in the north of Solihull to get into work.  The opportunities cover a wide range of industries and sectors.  There will be seasonal and permanent positions on offer so there should be something for anyone trying to get a job.”
