Blusource signals expansion plans with trio of new hires

BLUSOURCE, the Birmingham-based recruitment firm, is continuing its expansion with the hire of three new members of staff.

The firm, which took on four new employees in 2013 and hopes to increase its headcount by 30% in 2014, has added Emma Mellors, Tom Spencer and Daniel Blount to its team as it responds to the economic upturn and enters new markets.

Mellors will be responsible for providing Blusource’s one-stop-shop for law firms looking to expand, including the supply of support staff such as paralegals and legal executives.

Blount and Spencer both join Blusource Accountancy. Blount will be working with Greg Emmerson to establish a base for the firm in the east of England, in Cambridge and surrounding areas. Spencer will work with Dan Rogers from Blusource’s Bristol office and cover the South West once initial training is completed.

Andrew Springhall, chief executive, said: “The appointment of Emma, Daniel and Tom comes after an exceptionally busy end to 2013 for Blusource. Add to this the fact that we saw a 50% increase on our Q4 2013 instructions in the first week of 2014, and it just goes to show that we’re ready to respond to our clients demands.”
