Town Hall and Symphony Hall set to sparkle with Laurent-Perrier sponsorship deal

CHAMPAGNE brand Laurent-Perrier has agreed a new sponsorship deal with Birmingham’s Town Hall and Symphony Hall.

As part of the three-year deal, the drinks firm will invest in the creation of a new champagne reception area at the Symphony Hall, dubbed ‘The Laurent-Perrier Gallery’.

The deal reinforces the venues’ association with a strong luxury brand and gives a hint of what the city could be in store for when the sale of the NEC Group’s venues such as the International Convention Centre is concluded.

While the Town Hall and Symphony Hall are not part of The NEC Group, the latter has led the way in corporate sponsorship deals which have seen the rebranding of its NEC Arena as the LG Arena while Barclaycard has secured the naming rights for the revamped National Indoor Arena.

The new Symphony Hall gallery area will be for the sole use of corporate and private guests at the venue, who will be able to enjoy Laurent-Perrier Brut pre-performance and during intervals. Laurent-Perrier will also be the exclusive champagne throughout the Town Hall and Symphony Hall.

Steve Brandwood, Sales Director of Laurent-Perrier UK said: “We’re thrilled to have successfully agreed this sponsorship.  Town Hall and Symphony Hall Birmingham are iconic destinations celebrating music and the arts, welcoming thousands of visitors each year as well as hosting a variety of high profile events.  This is a very significant arrangement for us and we’re delighted Laurent-Perrier has been selected for its House style of lightness, freshness and elegance.”

Anita Bhalla, chair of Performances Birmingham, the music charity which manages Town Hall and Symphony Hall, added: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming Laurent-Perrier to Town Hall and Symphony Hall, strengthening our corporate offer over the next three years and adding to our attractive range of sponsorship packages. We are sure that Laurent-Perrier will be well received by everyone who visits or joins us here.”

The two world-class concert halls stage a varied programme of events throughout the year, with music including jazz, folk, world, roots, classical, rock and pop. More than 500,000 people visit Town Hall and Symphony Hall annually so the sponsors have a large target audience.
