Richard Boot moves into social media

HIGH-profile Midlands business figure Richard Boot has joined the board of a Birmingham web and socil media specialist.

Gas Street Works helps clients plan and execute online and social media strategies and provides multimedia production services.

Clients include Vodafone and Microsoft, the Home Office and the Highways Agency.

The company’s software allows clients to not only host video and digital media on dedicated.

Mr Boot, who stepped down as regional chairman of the Institute of Directors this year, said: “We have a very exciting and creative team with great potential for growth.
 
“Engaging with the audience is key to marketing.  Creating these communities of interest really gets the message over, generates great impact and transforms the usefulness and value of video”.

Richard Boot is also chairman of human resources group Active Human Capital.
