Civil engineering company relocates to Calthorpe Estate

BIRMINGHAM-based civil engineering consultancy SVM Associates has relocated to new offices within the city’s Calthorpe Estate.
The move coincides with the firm’s 10th anniversary and will enable it to better serve its clients, which include Google, Cadburys and The Houses of Parliament.
Despite the lean times for the building services industry, which is only now beginning to recover from the economic downturn, SVM has increased its market share and grown its locally sourced workforce.
Richard Wilmot, director, said: “This is a very exciting time for everyone at SVM Associates. Relocating to this period building with its modern working environment is an important step in our plans, with the new office providing the space and facilities to support our growth strategy.”
Fellow director, John Newbold added: “The new office cements our commitment to operating a national operation from the heart of the UK. Birmingham and Edgbaston in particular is an ideal location for its transport links and access to a skilled workforce.”
The company is planning to host an official office launch party attended by leading industry professionals to celebrate the premises move. The event will include live entertainment and a charity auction, with all donations going to local charity Little Hearts Matter.
