Chantrey Vellacott grants a change to finance team

Adam Grant, from Chantrey VellacottCHANTREY Vellacott has strengthened its support for businesses in the Midlands with the appointment of Adam Grant into a new joint-role encompassing commercial finance and supporting businesses to claim Research and Development (R&D) tax credits.

Grant, left, will work the firm’s Business Recovery Division as well as supporting its general practice clients.

The 37-year-old, who has more than 14 years of experience working in business finance across the region, was previously with NatWest and had spells with Barclays Bank and most recently BCRS Business Loans.

“This is a new multi-faceted role for the firm which I’m excited to be taking on,” he said.

“I’ve been brought in to help businesses raise finance in these most difficult times. Despite the Government’s pledge to increase bank lending to UK businesses, my experience leads me to believe that access to finance remains one of the major challenges facing business owners.

“I will be working predominantly with companies who have debt requirements of less than £1m – to expand, make acquisitions, develop new products and ultimately become more successful and also help them take advantage of financial support that is already out there, such as R&D tax credits.”
