Wolseley distribution centre sold in £12m deal

BUILDING, heating and plumbing supplies group Wolseley UK has sold a regional distribution centre (RDC) site in Yorkshire in a deal worth £12.2m.

Ripon is one of four RDC’s in the UK for Leamington Spa-based Wolseley UK, with the others located in Worcester, Bedford and Measham.

The RDC in Ripon serves the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, employing around 220 staff.

The distribution warehouse site is being acquired by Tritax Big Box REIT with an unexpired lease term of around 12 years.

Colin Godfrey, partner of Tritax, said: “We are delighted with our acquisition of the Wolseley UK regional distribution centre at Ripon, which is Wolseley UK’s sole centre serving the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland with immediate motorway connectivity.

“It also provides tenant diversification to our current portfolio.”
