Superdream targets fresh growth after exceeding £3m turnover

A WORCESTERSHIRE communications agency is targeting fresh growth after completing the latest stage of an ambitious expansion plan.

A progression of high-profile contract wins for Superdream has prompted the agency to commit to the growth plan, which has seen it double in size this year with the recruitment of 31 new staff.

Having acquired new premises in Stoke Prior earlier this year, it has now taken on a second building to house its growing creative and PR arms.

The company, which supplies brand transformation, advertising, PR and digital marketing, has this month seen annual turnover exceed £3m, thanks to recent account wins including Redcliffe Homes and Cookes Furniture.

Jason Manning, managing director, said: “The company has grown from a small print business to a thriving media hub in just two years.

“Even during the double-dip recession, which has been a rocky time for many businesses, we were winning new business at a substantial rate and have been steadily adding to our teams over the past year. We are thrilled to be able to keep creating jobs and play our part in boosting the local economy.”

The company has now recruited Jo Jeffries from Bauer Media as its new Business Development Director and is charting additional growth by targeting a series of potential blue chip clients.

However, this is only one part of the growth plan, which will see the business recruit a further 30 people next year with the aim of taking its workforce to between 80 to 100 people.

Manning underlines the extent of the growth by saying the eventual aim is to extend beyond the UK and have a network of offices around the globe.

“We already work with clients overseas and so it makes sense from our end to look at opening offices in these countries,” he said.

“We believe companies will be far more willing to deal with agencies such as ourselves if we have a local presence.”

It is exploring all its options in this respect and is assessing the value of potential joint ventures and acquisitions.

Superdream was established in 2012 following a merger with design agency Bird and Co.
