General Appointments: Cooper Solutions; Amadeus; Jetstream Europe; Bavaria

 

Cooper Solutions beefs up its management team

COOPER Solutions, the automotive software specialist, has strengthened its management team with a hat-trick of appointments.

The firm, based in Barford in Warwickshire, has achieved year-on-year growth in each of the last 12 years and has created three new roles across the business following another record 12 months.

Two new account managers, Jordan Coton and Nick Whalley, have joined the firm having both graduated from Nottingham Trent University, while Keith Taylor has joined the development team following 18 years at PSA Peugeot Citroën.

Taylor will work alongside development managers Andrew Whicher and Simon Whicher as a product support specialist behind the Cooper Solutions’ range of cloud-based dealer management systems. 

Cooper Solutions has grown by more than 20% in 2014 following a series of new client wins and extending products supplied across its existing customer base.

Managing director Barry Cooper said: “We’re delighted with the success we’ve achieved and are determined to grow even faster in 2015.”

Amadeus appoints new operations director

AMADEUS, the NEC Group’s retail, conference & banqueting and hospitality caterer has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Tony Baldock as operations director.

Baldock brings with him over 35 years of experience in the catering industry and will help to support the growth of 48% achieved by Amadeus since 2011/12.

Before joining Amadeus, he spent much of his career with the Compass Group UK and Ireland where he was involved in the bidding, mobilisation and project management of a number of high profile contracts with clients such as, Sainsbury’s, Asda and B&Q.

Managing director of Amadeus, Kevin Watson, said: “We have been looking for a candidate that will be able to support this level of growth to maximise profits and with Tony’s wealth of experience, we are confident that we have found the right person.”

Jetstream Europe expands team with two new sales managers

TWO new sales managers have been appointed at Jetstream Europe, the Black Country-based supplier of high-pressure water jetting equipment to the oil and gas industry.

They will be exploring new markets in the UK and Scandinavia.

Neil Rooke and Robert Robertson, who have many years’ experience in sales in the oil and gas sector, have been taken on as the Halesowen-based company, which this year celebrated its tenth anniversary, looks to expand.

Rooke, who is regional sales manager for the south, will have responsibility for the sales of water jetting units in his region, while Robertson will take on the UK northern region, as well as Norway, Denmark, and Sweden.

Rooke said: “Jetstream is a very progressive company in the oil and gas sector and I am looking forward to building on the solid base it already has to bring in new clients.”

Price is right for Bavaria

NATIONAL account manager Gavin Price has joined the sales team at Dutch brewer Bavaria, with a remit to grow the brand’s sales in the convenience sector, servicing accounts such as Bargain Booze, Spar, Co-op, Waitrose and One Stop.

Bavaria’s UK base is in Burton on Trent.

Price, who was previously business development manager for Bic UK & Ireland, said: “I’m working hard to develop my knowledge of the category, the routes to market, our competitors and the market trends, but I’m confident my more than 25 years’ experience will strengthen our relationships with major players in the convenience sector and reflect our continuing success in the multiple sector.”
