National Motorcycle Museum revs up for top expo event

THE National Motorcycle Museum is to again host the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce’s largest networking event of the year.

The Chamber Expo event takes place on Friday February 27, between 10am-3pm. The venue hosted the 2014 event.

The Expo will see more than 300 chamber members from the surrounding regions as well as the Institute of Asian Businesses, come together to network and promote businesses in the West Midlands.

Nick Hartland, director of the National Motorcycle Museum, said: “We work very closely with the Chamber of Commerce and, as a family-run business, we are very excited to be the chosen venue to host this year’s Expo. The event will provide a platform to showcase our ongoing multi-million pound investment to high-profile industry professionals, and continue to promote the Midlands as the go to destination for event bookers.”

The museum, situated near Solihull, had a record year last year, with a 10% increase in the number of conference and exhibitions staged. Visitor admissions were up by 50%.

Part of its success is thought to be due to corporates striving for a return on investment and Birmingham is increasingly becoming the viable option for staging events outside London.

Market research of similar London venues shows that against comparative quality properties, the NMM was 16% cheaper.
