Finance Appointments: Clement Keys; Cambridge & Counties Bank; Mazars

Clement Keys reinforces growth with two senior appointments

MIDLANDS accountancy firm Clement Keys has reacted to strong growth with two strategic director appointments.

The firm has been striving to build on its return to pre-recession levels of turnover and the appointments are part of the firm’s plans to build on this growth.

The changes see Rachel Daly appointed as director of audit services and Adam Longmore become director of corporate tax.

With over 15 years’ experience, Ms Daly spent a decade at KPMG before joining Clement Keys in 2009. She will support the continued growth of the firm’s audit division while working to maintain service levels across the existing client base.

Having worked at the firm since 2013, Longmore has a wealth of expertise after spending over 10 years in the corporate tax arena. He will work to streamline procedures and drive efficiencies in the department in response to the increase in demand within the tax, compliance and planning areas of the marketplace.

Ross Cocker, partner at Clement Keys, said: “As the economy strengthens so has confidence among Midlands businesses and we’re responding to that by investing in the development and expansion of our corporate team in particular. As well as recruiting staff and strengthening the roles of others, we have recently restructured our team to work more efficiently and give clients access to a broader range of expertise. We now have a core team of five directors who will lead the firm’s growth plans.”

Cambridge & Counties builds up senior management team

CHALENGER bank Cambridge & Counties has prepared the way for further growth by building up its director level of senior management as it passes the half billion pound mark in deposits and loans.

Alongside four promotions there is one new arrival as the bank structures its management for the next phase of its expansion.

Promoted are: Simon Lindley, commercial director of real estate; Rachel Curtis-Bowen as director of marketing and customer experience; Jim Stevens as director of risk and compliance; and Jim Bone as director of operations and IT. In comes Tom Senior as director of credit.

They complete a seven-strong senior team at director level, reporting to a board which includes chief executive officer Mike Kirsopp.

Kirsopp said: “In 2015 our business will become significantly bigger and more complex. The time had come to build up a senior team to take on key responsibilities as we grow and develop. At less than three years old we are still a ‘new’ bank, one that will deepen our expertise and resources to grow sustainably.”
