Expansion prompts changes for NC Creative
SOLIHULL-based NC Creative Group has made a number of changes to its creative team following a series of client wins and service expansions.
The changes include promotions for several long standing members of staff, as well as the addition of two new staff members.
The first change sees Vicky Jaycock promoted to head of creative services at the agency. She manages a wide spectrum of marketing provisions delivered by the creative team. She has been with the agency since 2008.
The continued rise of social media as a communications tool has prompted the agency to create a separate social media division, with David Leatham assuming the role as head of social media. Starting out within account management in 2008, Leatham has been responsible for spearheading the agency’s social media service over the last four years.
In addition, Jack Seifas has joined the agency as junior account executive following the successful completion of an internship programme.
Continuous research and exploration of developing digital technologies have seen longstanding designer, Ian Robinson, acquire new skills in the field of Augmented Reality (AR) and motion graphics, earning him the promotion to multimedia designer.
Following NC Creative’s appointment by the Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) to handle its public relations and social media activity, the agency has expanded its PR team to include account manager Nikki Gooch.
Asa Walker, NC Creative managing director, said: “Staff development and progression are key components to the success of a professional services business. We are fortunate to have a talented, ambitious and committed team at NC Creative which in turn has led to a proud record of longstanding client tenure.”
Weather tool enhances service offering for Ticket Factory
NEC Group ticketing operation, The Ticket Factory, has partnered with digital marketing agency, Fast Web Media, to be the first and only ticketing agency to utilise a multi-award winning, innovative PPC software, that tailors advertising messages depending on real-time or forecast local weather, anywhere in the world.
weatherFIT is a pioneering Pay Per Click (PPC) tool, developed by Fast Web Media, which allows Google AdWords campaigns to be tailored based on real-time or forecast localised climate conditions.
The Ticket Factory said the software would add another layer of sophistication to its advertising campaigns, enabling the use of weather information to optimise when and where adverts are displayed.
Rising demand for social media services is perfect recipe for Cook’s growth
BIRMINGHAM-based social media agency JC Social Media has more than doubled in size in less than a year following a period of strong growth.
The social media specialist, which is four years old this August, is headed by managing director Jodie Cook (left), who completes her year’s tenure as Birmingham Young Professional of the Year in May.
“It’s a great achievement and one which we’d aimed for,” said Ms Cook. “We’ve seen a boost in demand for social media management and training as companies realise they simply must have an active online presence.
“There’s no way we’d be where we are if we didn’t continually deliver tangible returns for our clients. That totally underpins our growth.”
The growth has seen JC Social Media recruit three new members of staff since December, followed by a move to larger premises.
Amongst a host of new clients, the agency is helping ignite excitement around the return to Birmingham of The Fiddle and Bone pub.
Looking ahead, Ms Cook said: “The trend of growth is continuing into 2015 so there’s no reason why we can’t continue to grow! The whole team is incredibly hardworking and very passionate about social media and it’s fantastic to see so many companies investing in these new channels.”
