This is not just a clothing contract…this is an M&S clothing contract

COLESHILL-based corporate clothing specialist, Incorporatewear, has been hired to clothe 100,000 Marks & Spencer staff across the world – the single biggest contract win in its history.

The contract sees Incorporatewear fitting out 68,000 of the retail giant’s UK employees.

Aside from a 25% hike in the company’s turnover, the deal also means a warehouse expansion and the creation of 10 new jobs to supplement its 75-strong workforce.

Incorporatewear was invited to bid for the retail contract after supplying the new wardrobe for M&S Bank in just 10 weeks from concept to delivery.

Mike Tozer, Incorporatewear’s general manager director, said: “This is a huge moment, and we are very proud to be associated with one of the world’s best brands. It is a testament to the ‘can do’ attitude of our people, who provide outstanding service to our clients every day.

“Including several franchises from around the world, we are in the unique position of being able to supply suits to a retailer which sells suits. I’m delighted that the collection has been so well received. It was a tough challenge to raise the game with minimal disruption to staff, but we have high standards, both in terms of customer service and quality of the products.”

The Marks & Spencer retail uniform – which includes blazers, blouses and jumpers – is based on a recent redesign combining the retailer’s iconic green and grey colours. Alongside retail food and clothing staff, Incorporatewear will also be supplying beauty, hospitality and service station personnel.

In total, it will be shipping around 400,000 Marks & Spencer garments a year. To manage demand, Incorporatewear has launched a dedicated website to allow Marks & Spencer personnel to order online. It will also be expanding its helpdesk and account management team.

To ensure the availability and quality of garments, Incorporatewear will look to strengthen its supply routes by sourcing initially from Portugal, and build upon existing links with China and India.

The company also supplies retailers Beaverbrooks, Costa Coffee, Lakeland and Matalan as well as global banks, travel companies and airlines including Easyjet.
