Multi-million care home creates over 50 new jobs

A MULTI-MILLION pound purpose built care home has officially opened in the Black Country, creating more than 50 new jobs.

Veronica House, situated in Leabrook Road, Tipton, is owned by James and Veronica Lovell, directors of Hunstone Ltd. The home is managed by their daughter in-law Elaine with support of their director sons, David and Andrew.

The new facility, which sits next to its sister home, Leabrook House, offers 52 en-suite single bedrooms and Hunstone has said it is hoping to create more jobs in the near future.

The accommodation provides specialist nursing care for adults with a range of complex physical disabilities, end of life care and treatment of disease, disorder or injury. Both homes employ physiotherapy teams, who work between the gym and warm water therapy pools.

Home owner James Lovell said:  “We are thrilled that the home is open and already we have a number of patients settled in. The feedback we have had from our patients and their families has been very positive.”

Hunstone has already invited a series of health care professionals to visit the home so they can inspect the facilities.

Funding for the new home was provided by Barclays.

Mark Mumford, Relationship Director at Barclays in the Black Country said: “The new home provides top class care services. Jim, his wife Monica and the rest of the family have a wealth of experience in the sector and I am delighted we have been able to support them in realising their ambitions for the new home.”
