GBW walks into new contract
MARKETING agency, Gough Bailey Wright (GBW), has been appointed to deliver a high-profile PR campaign for HF Holidays, one of the UK’s largest walking and outdoor leisure holiday providers.
The contract award follows a competitive three-way pitch.
GBW’s national and regional strategic programme will promote the operator’s existing UK holiday and overseas packages, as well as supporting new property and destination launches. It will also assist HF Holidays’ in-house social media department.
The intensive campaign will also run alongside an image re-brand for HF Holidays as it targets new audiences and raises the profile of its offer.
Sue Bailey, managing director of GBW, said: “Our leisure and tourism portfolio is strong and we are very proud of the awards we have secured for our creative campaigns in this sector. The PR team developed an exciting and creative pitch and we are looking forward to implementing these ideas with HF Holidays.”
Mapping specialist opts for Accord
ONE of the UK’s leading mapping and data solution providers has appointed an external marketing team with specialist housing experience in a bid to develop its presence in the sector.
Stanfords For Business, part of Edward Stanford, has selected West Midlands-based Accord Business Support, part of the Accord Group housing association, to help with its campaign.
Stanfords For Business, which already works with a number of housing associations, provides a unique and cost effective property asset management system and offers bespoke services for mapping and data orders through a national service centre located in Manchester.
Tony Maher, managing director of Edward Stanford, said: “I am delighted to have appointed Accord Business Support to help our business division grow its market through wider awareness of our products and services.”
Claire Barratt, Director of Communications for the Accord Group, said: “We are delighted to be working with Edward Stanford in helping them to market the Stanfords For Business arm.
“Having the knowledge of the sector, we understand how housing associations need to find value-for-money solutions for managing their property portfolios.”
Education start-up launches new portal
BIRMINGHAM-based education start-up, MyEd, has launched its online platform, designed to allow parents and students to search for and review nurseries, schools and universities across the UK.
The site has been designed to help users search for and identify the nursery, school, or university which best suits their needs. The MyEd search engine allows users to whittle down options depending on their preferred criteria, making the selection process stress-free.
Its review feature allows parents and students to offer frank and honest feedback on different elements of an institution’s offering, be it the quality of the teaching or the standard of food in the cafeteria. Insights are captured via a simple questionnaire, and allow users to provide valuable first-hand insight.
Upkar Pardesi, co-founder and chairman of MyEd, said: “For parents searching for suitable education institution, the selection process can be complex and frustrating. We designed MyEd to help alleviate those pain-points, by capturing helpful and informative data about institutions, and presenting it all in one place. The review section offers a new level of transparency, and this particularly important given how much parents value first-hand insight.”
