ACS strengthens funding team with senior appointment
ANTHONY Collins Solicitors has strengthened its funding team with the appointment of Jon Coane, formerly a partner and national head of funding at Bevan Brittan.
He is the second high-profile appointment the firm has made this financial year, after the recruitment of Chris Whittington as head of education.
The appointment follows a successful year for the ACS Funding Team, having completed four capital markets transactions for housing associations in the last 12 months with an aggregate value in excess of £400m.
Coane has extensive experience in funding and finance work, including bank, project, education, social housing, local government and property development finance. He previously worked at Pinsent Masons and Wragge & Co.
He is also experienced in advising housing associations on the funding of joint ventures and he has a strong track record in advising Local Enterprise Partnerships and local authorities on funding structures and the funding of regeneration projects and housing delivery projects.
Natalie Singh, partner at ACS, said: “It is fantastic to welcome Jon as a partner in the funding team. To attract such a high-quality recruit demonstrates the growth in the strength of the team over the past few years.
“With his strong experience in advising housing associations and local authorities, Jon is a natural fit for the team at ACS. Jon’s recruitment reaffirms our ambition to be a leading funding team, advising housing associations and local authorities on their funding requirements.”
