Girl Power takes centre stage at Hotel LaTour

A BIRMINGHAM hotel has announced a series of new appointments following a period of strong growth.

Hotel LaTour has seen solid growth for the past 12 months, which has lead to a series of new appointments to its management team.

The recruitment process has also created an unusual situation in the hotel industry in the sense that every member of General Manager, Jane Riley’s management team is female.

Ms Riley said: “It wasn’t our intent to create an all-girl team but when interviewing for the roles the ladies stood out and were the natural choice. They all had the right skill set and attitude needed to join our growing team. We felt they brought a wealth of experience to their prospective roles and are delighted they have all joined us.”

The staff will be trained on maintaining the 174-bedroom hotel’s reputation for quality of service.

The hotel, close to Birmingham’s Millennium Point and Moor Street Station, has seen its growth recognised by Trip Advisor with the website awarding it a 2015 Certificate of Excellence, while Booking.com bestowed its own Certificate of Excellence.
