McCann drafts in new quartet to support creative excellence

MCCANN Central has recruited four new specialists in its attempt to develop a creative centre of excellence outside of London.

The new additions see Jon Elsom appointed as group creative director. Elsom, who will report into Vince McSweeney, arrives with 23 years of experience in top London and UK agencies and will support the agency’s output across its UK offices.

Alongside him are: Rod Henriques, senior art director; Mark Dudley, art director; and Florian Schneider, senior copywriter.

Henriques, joins from McCann Berlin but has previously worked in agencies such as DDB (Brazil), TBWA-Chiat Day (USA), Jung von Matt (Germany) for clients including Opel, Nissan, Hyundai, Audi, Mercedes, Gatorade, DHL, Siemens and Coca Cola.
 
Following five years working in London Mark Dudley is bringing his experiences working with Rapp, Red Brick Road, Iris, Geronimo and Proximity London to McCann.
 
Schneider also arrives from McCann Berlin where he won several awards including Eurobest silver, LIA bronze, ADC and Cannes Shortlist having worked on major brands such as Audi, Vodafone, Mastercard, Siemens and Coca-Cola. He will be bringing his experience to clients such as Reed, Bentley and Vauxhall.

McCann Central has offices in Birmingham, Bristol and Luton.

New client director for Green Room

Andy O’Sullivan, Client Director - Workspace, Green RoomBIRMINGHAM-based brand and retail design consultancy, Green Room, has appointed Andy O’Sullivan as Client Director, Workspace.

The firm said the appointment signalled its commitment to growing its presence in this field.
 
O’Sullivan (pictured) will oversee a growing team located at the company’s headquarters in Fort Dunlop. He will work closely with the firm’s UK and Amsterdam studios and will report directly to Richard Ash, CEO and founder of Green Room.
 
“Andy will be a valued partner for our clients,” said Ash. “Andy is the perfect person to lead our growing workspace business. He has a wealth of experience from working with amazing clients like HBOS, Deloitte and Dunelm and has run successful projects all over the UK.”
 
O’Sullivan comes to Green Room from Corporate Workspace, a contract furnishing consultancy with clients such as Leeds Building Society, Direct Group Insurance and Lexmark. Prior to Corporate Workspace, he also held senior positions at Domino Commercial Interiors and Vision Projects.

Grand Central drafts in marketing specialist

Danielle Bozward, Marketing Manager, Grand CentralRETAIL marketing expert, Danielle Bozward has been appointed Marketing Manager for Birmingham’s new mixed-use shopping and dining venue, Grand Central.

With over 18 years of experience in the retail and leisure sectors, she brings a wide skill-set to the position spanning strategy and communications, planning, positioning, innovation and insight.

Helen Woollven, Director, Savills said: “The calibre of candidates who applied for this role was extremely high.

“What stood Danielle head and shoulders above the rest was her understanding of the issues and challenges that are shaping the retail industry as we know it.”

She has previously held positions at Hammerson (50% owner of the Bullring shopping centre), Jones Lang LaSalle and Madisonsoho Strategic Retail Marketing.

Ms Bozward (pictured) said: “My passion is retail. I’m so excited to be a part of Grand Central Birmingham which will complement the existing retail and dining offering currently in Birmingham. I’m already forging strong relationships with the national and local retailers which are on board.
