Fifth Michelin-starred restaurant for Birmingham

CARTERS of Moseley has become the fifth restaurant in Birmingham to gain a Michelin star.

Following in the footsteps of Simpsons Purnell’s Turners and Adam’s – which all retain their stars in the latest edition of the prestigious MIchelin Guide – the restaurant in the bohemian suburb is one of 17 first time award winners this year across the UK and Ireland.

The restaurant in St Mary’s Row is run by chef Brad Carter and his partner and front of house manager Holly Jackson.

The restauarant has won a number of accolades including being voted the Good Food Guide’s Reader’s Restaurant of the year.

Birmingham has more Michelin-starred restaurants than any other UK city aprt from London.

“Carters of Moseley joins four other brilliant restaurants in Birmingham that are listed in the Michelin Guide. The city now has more Michelin-starred restaurants than anywhere in the UK outside London, demonstrating that it still offers one of the most exciting and innovative food scenes in the UK.”
