LEP looks to make Coventry and Warwickshire a digital cluster

COVENTRY and Warwickshire technology companies have been urged to take part in a new survey intended to promote the digital technology expertise of the area.

The annual Tech Nation survey 2016 is designed to promote the digital technology expertise of the area.

On a national level, the Tech Nation survey is intended to establish the strengths of digital clusters across the UK.

Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership is looking for local companies to take part so the area’s capabilities are recognised at the national and international level.

George Gillespie, LEP board member, said: “This is a valuable opportunity to show the capabilities and advancement of the digital industry in this area.

“The digital technology industry is strong in Coventry and Warwickshire in areas such as design and gaming so this is the perfect opportunity to shine a spotlight on our achievements.

“We want to make sure that every technological advancement within our area is acknowledged so we can continue to grow and develop the industry.”

He said the more businesses that fill out the survey, the more likely it was that the area would be recognised as one of the national clusters, which in turn would Coventry and Warwickshire’s digital advancement.
