HSBC drives growth for DTE Motoring Centre

KIDDERMINSTER-based DTE Motoring Centre has secured its future with the purchase of its long-standing premises.

The purchase was funded by a commercial mortgage from HSBC. The amount is undisclosed.
 
DTE Motoring Centre is a garage that specialises in MOTs, car and van tyres, servicing and general repairs.
 
The funding has enabled the business to buy the purpose-built premises from which it has operated, and until now rented, since 2004.
 
The independent garage, based at Hoo Farm Industrial Estate, was acquired by current owner Paul Edgell in 2005.
 
Edgell said: “I completed the purchase of DTE Motoring Centre more than ten years ago, and the business has grown year-on-year. HSBC’s support has enabled us to take ownership of the business premises, securing the company’s future and putting in place a viable succession plan.”
 
Andy Willett, area director for business banking in the South West Midlands at HSBC, said: “The purchase of the garage means the company can now plan for the future with certainty.”
