JLL has appointed hotels specialist Gavin Wright as a director in its hotels and hospitality team.

Mr Wright had been at Christie + Co for 15 years, the last 10 as director where he worked on deals for the Holiday Inn Birmingham Bromsgrove and Ramada Birmingham Solihull Hotel.

He will be based in JLL’s Birmingham office and his role will focus on the regional growth of the hotels and hospitality division.

Will Duffey, executive vice president of hotels and hospitality at JLL, said: “Gavin is a strong addition to our team at a time when we are anticipating further investment activity across the UK’s regional markets.

“For investors new to the UK or hotel market, it makes sense to eye regional markets first. Cities such as Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham are high on the radar.”
