South African audit specialist joins Midlands team

DELOITTE has added a partner to its audit team in the Midlands with the recruitment of one of its South African partners.

Ryan Duffy started working at Deloitte 20 years ago at Port Elizabeth, South Africa, before stints in Denver, United States, Luzembourg and most recently Johannesburg.

As an audit partner in South Africa, he oversaw the audit practice in the West African countries of Nigeria and Ghana.

Mr Duffy said: “I grew up in Port Elizabeth, which was built on the automotive industry, so I certainly recognise the strength of industrial heritage combined with a thriving sector with exciting prospects.”

Jane Whitlock, who leads Deloitte’s audit practice in the Midlands added: “The audit team here continues to go from strength to strength, as proven by our recent success. We are delighted that we’ve also been successful in securing someone of Ryan’s calibre to join us as we embark on some of the most prestigious and well known audits, not just regionally, but nationally.”
