Telford to conduct new consultation on Southwater development

TELFORD & Wrekin Council is to hold a public consultation on the potential uses for a proposed new landscaped area in Southwater.

The landscaped area will be outside the Premier Inn and Wildwood Restaurant, between Southwater One and a proposed new hotel/commercial development outside Mimosa and Telford Ice Rink.

This development includes a 68 bedroom hotel, a 336m² retail unit and high quality landscaping.

Cllr Shaun Davies, Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Business, said: “We are looking forward to showcasing our future plans for Southwater and getting feedback from the public on what the next phase will involve.

“We know that many people have been keen that we retain the green space in the Southwater development and have listened to these comments.

“We’re keen to get views on the future use of the area and I would encourage everyone to come along to Southwater One and have a look at the plans.”

The consultation will take place on the ground floor of Southwater One between 9am–5pm on Wednesday (27), Thursday (28) and Friday (29) April.
