Key JLR supplier announces further expansion

SERTEC Group, one of the UK’s largest independent manufacturers of stampings and welded assemblies and a key Jaguar Land Rover supplier, has announced a further phase of its expansion.
The group has announced it has reached an agreement to lease a brand new facility at Hams Hall Estate.
The move comes three months after the firm secured a £20m funding package from BGF (Business Growth Fund) and Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking to support its ongoing growth.
Located just a mile from the automotive supplier’s Wincaster House head office in Coleshill and less than two miles from Junction 9 of the M42, the 145,000 sq ft warehouse unit will be become the group’s distribution centre for finished parts.
The group said that as it continued to grow so did the need for more floorspace.
The new facility will allow its existing factory’s storage areas to be reallocated to the production of finished goods.
Dave Steggles, Group Managing Director, said: “Our group strategy has always been to attract more customers and a more diverse range of products to manufacture. Furthermore, export markets are becoming more and more important to us and we must improve our sales to both existing and potentially new customers overseas.
“Given such targets, this exciting new development will allow us to not only demonstrate greater manufacturing capacity across our factories, but now we have added an outstanding standalone distribution centre to our business.
“As we invest in our future, such developments are essential to accelerating growth whilst continuing our drive for performance excellence.”
