Brindleyplace Film Festival returns to the area this week for its fifth year. There will be various movies shown each night during the week and two on Saturday and Sunday. Head to Central Square to see a wide selection of some of the best films to come from our home nations. Head to the Royal Spa Centre in Leamington Spa on Sunday to dance like the Irish do. Rhythm of the Dance celebrates the rich history of Ireland and the art of the very much loved Irish dance. The show, which presents 30 dancers and a traditional Irish band, is one of the most popular Irish Step Dance shows on tour and millions around the globe have hailed the show a must see! BBC ComedyFaces of your favourite shows
BBC Comedy is celebrating 60 years of the TV sitcom at Compton Verney in Warwickshire. Expect to see over 90 never publically displayed photographs at the exhibition from the likes of Steptoe & Son, Only Fools & Horses, Absolutely Fabulous and Miranda. See what some of Britain’s greatest comedians were like at work with this exclusive behind the scenes look. Geordie lass Sarah Millican is bringing her brand new show ‘Outside’ to Birmingham this weekend. The hilarious comedian will be on at Symphony Hall on Saturday and Sunday night after months of sold out shows across the UK. The 41-year-old, who is well known for cracking jokes about relationships and body image, won the best newcomer at Edinburgh Festival in 2008 and has since seen huge success nationwide whilst becoming a national treasure.
