Manufacturer aims for global success with Chinese JV

TALIS Group is setting its sights on further global success after signing a joint venture agreement with Chinese company Kc-Val.

Birmingham-based TALIS, which specialises in valves, hydrants and other solutions for water flow control, said the 60/40 joint venture called TALIS Flow Control (Shanghai) Co., will take over the current industrial activity of Kc-Val, which focuses on the production of control valves.

Its aim is for TALIS Flow Control to gradually grow by manufacturing different families of valves for the TALIS Group, an industrial platform which will become its first production facility outside Europe and Israel.

The joint venture will start its operations in the final quarter of 2016.

Mark Hodgens, managing director of TALIS UK, said: “This new joint venture is an important milestone for the TALIS group in order to strengthen its sourcing, manufacturing and selling capabilities and become more global.”
