KPMG promotes more than 100 people across its Midlands offices

KPMG has announced 103 promotions across its offices in Birmingham and Nottingham. The number is a Midlands record for the firm.

The promotions include five new partners and 12 directors.

New partners are: Chris Pole (restructuring), Louise Scott-Worrall (learning solutions), Michelle Kavanagh (risk assurance and internal audit), Mike Tuhme (tax) and Siobhan Lodder (tax).

All were previously experienced directors for the firm, and have been elevated following the annual appraisal review process.

Included in the total list of promotions are: 12 directors, 15 senior managers, 26 managers and 45 assistant managers.

Mike Steventon, Midlands Regional Chair at KPMG, said: “I’m delighted to announce a record year of partner and director promotions within our Midlands practice. This round of promotions reflects the strong growth in our business in 2016 and our aspirations and confidence in the Midlands.

“I am proud of the talent and energy within our Midlands team and the new partners and directors have very much earned their promotions. They will be instrumental in driving our future growth as we work with clients in the private and public sectors to improve their organisations and navigate through the current economic and political uncertainties.”

He said the firm had also made good progress to improve diversity at graduate and senior level, and KPMG was the first of the Big 4 to achieve gender parity in graduate recruitment this year.

Mr Steventon added: “We’re working to improve the wider diversity of our talent pool, beyond gender, and our new approach to graduate recruitment, Launch Pad, will be crucial in our efforts to achieve our goal. This year’s pilot has already delivered the most diverse intake of hires we’ve ever seen.”

The promotions are split across KPMG’s Birmingham and Nottingham offices as follows:

Birmingham – 9 directors, 12 senior managers, 20 managers and 38 assistant managers

Nottingham – 3 directors, 3 senior managers, 6 managers and 7 assistant managers
