Andre Rieu announces revised date for Genting Arena show

CONDUCTOR and violinist André Rieu has announced a revised date for the concert at the Barclaycard Arena he was forced to cancel on December 21 due to a member of his orchestra suffering a heart attack.
The popular musician, who heads the Johann Strauss Orchestra, was forced to cancel shows in London, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow because of the illness.
The musician, a long-time member of the orchestra, remains in a coma and is said to be in a critical condition.
André Rieu said: “My orchestra and I have been overwhelmed by the support and love that we have received from all our friends and fans around the world. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our heart for your understanding. It has been a terrible week for all of us and your warm words have given his wife, who is also a member of my orchestra, my colleagues and me so much strength.”
The revised date for the show at the Genting Arena is Wednesday March 22, 2017.
People who bought tickets for the original show have been advised to retain them for the rescheduled show as all tickets will remain valid.
The arena said that in the event people were unable to attend the rescheduled show, then full refunds would be available from the point of sale.
