Merlin director magics up £420,000 share sale

The managing director of Merlin Entertainment’s Midway Attractions, which includes Madame Tussauds, Legoland Discovery Centres, and Sea Life Centres, has sold shares worth £420,000.

Nick Mackenzie, who has held senior roles at Merlin since 2007, sold 87,000 shares today at 483p.
The shares have recovered over the last six weeks from an autumnal dip, adding 13% since mid-December and approaching the share price’s all-time high at 494p. The FTSE 100 company, which owns Alton Towers, is valued at £4.9bn.
