Morgan Sindall secures new regeneration contract

MIDLAND based construction firm Morgan Sindall has announced that it has won an £18.5m contract with Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council to deliver a regeneration project at Stockbridge Village, in Merseyside.

The contract, which forms part of a wider £25m regeneration scheme, will see Morgan Sindall build a primary school, neighbourhood centre with leisure facilities and a retail space. The scheme will be delivered in five phases, with the full project expected to be completed in the spring of 2012.

Paul Smith, chief executive of Morgan Sindall Group, said: “We have considerable experience in successfully delivering complex, multi-element regeneration schemes of this nature and look forward to working closely with Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council throughout the lifetime of this project.”

Rugby based Morgan Sindall recently acquired part of the collapsed Connaught housing maintenance firm.
