Nicola Fleet-Milne

As owner/founder of FleetMilne residential property agency, and having previously worked at other Birmingham residential agencies, my career has been residential throughout. I understand and excel at the residential agency sector, but I have been successful in creating a more sophisticated offering for the Build to Rent sector.

I enjoy excellent relationships with both individual clients and the asset managers looking after large portfolios. I have always been able to identify what each client needs for success, and my team are adept at delivering what has been promised. I am very proud of the teams I have built up; they are encouraged to question the process and seek to better it wherever they can. The result is a quickly evolving set of processes which don’t allow for complacency.

I have been the Chair of the Colmore BID board since January 2020 and was Deputy Chair for 2 years prior. My first leadership challenge was successfully navigating the Covid-19 crisis, representing both a large number of professional service businesses and a small contingent of hospitality businesses. Technologies were implemented, communications were strengthened and increased, relationships were nurtured. It started as speed over elegance, but ultimately developed into stronger systems and better understandings. I am proud of the path we have travelled since Covid entered our lives; the strong team I am surrounded by, both Directors and executive team, are such a blessing in these tricky times.

I am also incredibly active in my voluntary positions. I am co-Chair of the Jewellery Quarter Neighbourhood Planning Forum, and from 2013-2020, a member of the Hippodrome Development Board. I am a former Birmingham Young Professional of the Year award winner, IoD award winner and an active member of Birmingham’s thriving professional community; my drive and influential status have had a substantial impact on Birmingham’s development.
