Blades make new signing ahead of Wembley

A NEW signing has given Sheffield United a major boost as the club head’s for the Championship Play-off Final at Wembley this weekend.

Just days before the club take on Burnley for a place in the Premiership, they have announced an extension to their current sponsorship deal with city law firm Halliwells.

The Halliwells Stand, on the Bramall Lane side of the ground, will now continue to carry the firm’s logos prominently across the roofline for the next three years.

The agreement comes only months after it was revealed that Halliwells has been appointed as the principal legal advisor to Sheffield United to support the club on all legal matters going forward.

Jason Rockett, chief executive of Sheffield United, said:  “We are delighted to announce an extension to our current sponsorship deal with Halliwells for an additional three years.

“Back in 2006, when the initial deal was agreed and the stand was renamed the Halliwells Stand, we were confident that this partnership would develop into what it has become today. We are two forward thinking organisations and we expect our close working relationship to continue to bring extensive business benefits to both parties.”

Managing partner of Halliwells – and lifelong Blades fan – Suzanne Liversidge said: “As Sheffield United have gone from strength-to-strength over the last few years, Halliwells has been with them every step of the way and we are delighted to continue our fantastic affiliation with the club. Partnership working with an organisation that is not only going places in the UK but also has significant international operations can only be of benefit to our ongoing success.

“We just hope the Halliwells Stand will be full to bursting next season and would like to take this opportunity to wish the Blades all the best of luck in the play off final.”
