Amplitude makes noise with wedding event

BRIDES-to-be will be able to look for everything they want to make their wedding the special day they have dreamed of thanks to a Yorkshire event management services company.
Amplitude has secured funding from The Royal Bank of Scotland to expand the business, with the first part of its growth strategy being the launch of The Wedding and Lifestyle Show 2009 at the Yorkshire Show Ground in Harrogate.
The show, which is the third largest of its kind in the UK and is taking place on September 26 and 27, is aimed at young couples getting married and setting up home together.
Exhibitors will include a large number of wedding suppliers and lifestyle companies, and celebrity presenters including Jonathan Pang from the BBC’s Britain’s Next Top Model, and Ruby Hammer, internationally acclaimed make up artist and founder of the Ruby and Mllie make-up brand will also appear at the event.
Established in 1990 by Roger and Chris Conderson, Amplitude was founded to provide a reliable audio visual hire service to local venues.
In 1995 the business expanded and moved in to exhibition design and build, establishing a fully equipped workshop in Huddersfield.
And it expanded further six years later when Amplitude acquired Vision Imaging, a Leeds-based graphic production and print company, and relocated to larger premises in Bradford.
Amplitude now offers a full range of audio visual hire, event management, graphic production and exhibition display systems.
The Wedding and Lifestyle Show will be the first time Amplitude has organised its own high profiel event.
Chris Conderson, managing director of Amplitude, said: “Launching this exhibition is really exciting for the company. We have been inundated with companies wanting to exhibit and have received a tremendous amount of interest from potential visitors.
“We have a number of exciting things in the pipeline for the company’s future; this exhibition is just the start of it.”
Funding was provided through RBS in Bradford.
Tom Evans, relationship manger, RBS Business & Commercial Banking, added:“The exhibition will undoubtedly fill a gap in the marketplace in Yorkshire and Chris and the team have worked hard to ensure they have a range of exhibtiors to suit a varied audience.
“This is further evidence of Amplitude’s capabilities and ambitions as they continue to expand.”
