Brewery supplier wins Stateside

A BREWERY equipment supplier has secured an order from the US after showcasing its state-of-the-art cask washing equipment at the Munich Drinktec Exhibition.

Leeds-based Microdat received enquiries from all over the world after unveiling the new product and has received a £15,000 order from the Summit Brewery in Minnesota.

Founder and managing director Steve Midgley said: “We received enquiries from all over the world and particularly from emerging countries such as China, India, Russia and Africa, where beer sales are flourishing.

“We exhibited jointly in Munich with Ecokeg UK – manufacturers of the recently introduced one-trip keg. The inner part of this revolutionary and recyclable beer container is manufactured by Esterform Packaging in Leeds.”
