City visitors stashing left luggage

A new sharing left luggage system is proving a popular with Leeds visitors and helping local businesses drive up revenue.
Two local businesses in central Leeds have signed up to the CityStasher network. They house StashPoints, where people can safely store luggage when arriving or departing the city – so visitors can explore without carrying around any baggage.
The StashPoints can be found in Central Arcade and in On The Wall on Boar Lane. Joining the network is a great opportunity for local business to earn additional revenue as well as drive footfall to their premises.
Each location is assessed for security before joining the network and every bag left is fitted with a security tag and insured for up to £750. Customers book ahead via the CityStasher website, pay online, then simply drop the bags off.
So far, over twenty-five thousand bags have been stashed at StashPoint locations across the UK.
Anthony Collias, a CityStasher founder, said: “It’s wonderful to see our idea being met with such a warm reception in Leeds. We wanted to create a simple solution to the ‘what shall we do with our bags dilemma’ and the take-up across the country proves there’s a real need for it. It’s such a simple concept, one that benefits visitors and local businesses alike. We are looking forward to seeing the network grow in Leeds.”
