New ale house hosts first music night

Bradford’s recently reopened Exchange Ale House launches itself onto the city’s music scene tonight with a performance by singer-songwriter Vanessa Maria.
The gig sees the start of regular music nights, which will now be held on the last Friday of every month at the venue in Market Street, Bradford.
Nessa, an alternative R ‘n’ B singer-songwriter, will be performing a stripped back acoustic set of covers and originals.
She is originally from Bradford and is well-known on the local music circuit but is currently living in Manchester where she is studying a degree in song-writing at BIMM music college.
Fans may have spotted her recently making appearances as a background artist for TV shows such as Coronation Street and Diana and I.
The Exchange, below the city’s famous Wool Exchange, was once an alternative rock music venue in its hey-day but had lain empty for four years until it was reopened as a Bradford Brewery venue last month (August 2017) following a major refurbishment.
Door open at 7.30pm for the Nessa gig and entry is free.
