Work starts on university building

CONSTRUCTION work has started on Broadcasting Place, a new facility for the Faculty of Arts and Society at Leeds Metropolitan University.
The 110,000 sq ft development is set for occupation in September 2009 and will provide learning, specialist teaching and office space for a significant part of the Faculty of Arts.
DTZ's office agency team acted in the leasehold acquisition on behalf of Leeds Met and Philip Webb, head of building consultancy at DTZ Leeds, has also been appointed from a design, construction and ongoing maintenance point of view.
Adam Cockroft, office agency director at DTZ, said: “This further cements Leeds Met's aspirations in respect of providing cutting edge accommodation to complement their educational offer in Leeds”.
