Law firm completes move to cultural industries quarter

Law firm Shoosmith has completed a move to the cultural industries quarter in Sheffield.
The full-service law firm has taken 1,520 sq ft of office space at City Estates’ Speedwell Works development on Sidney Street.
Around 10-14 employees will be based at Shoosmith’s new operation.
Thomas Hall, head of the Shoosmiths Sheffield Team, said: “We love being part of the regeneration of this part of Sheffield, and the Speedwell Works development very much reflects our innovative brand. Being here will allow us to build on our increasing profile in the region and to better serve our numerous clients in the area.
“We are very committed to Sheffield and working with the real estate sector in the region. It has only been made possible through the use of our unique and innovative Shoosmiths Agile platform, which makes it easier for our people to work effectively in various locations.
“This approach, coupled with the outstanding feedback we’ve received from our clients means we are on the right track in our efforts to develop Shoosmiths in the area, and to be able to offer the client service we are famous for to our existing and future client base.”
Dale Fixter, director at City Estates, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Shoosmiths as our latest commercial tenant at the fantastic Speedwell Works development. We hope this is the start of a long, healthy relationship with another of the region’s industry leaders in its respective sector.
“We’re very proud of the Speedwell Works development and the wider Alsop Fields project, and are delighted at its impact in Sheffield’s cultural industries quarter. We look forward to further enhancing what is fast becoming one of Sheffield’s most vibrant areas.”
