£458,000 road resurfacing project starts later this month

A major road improvement scheme for the A1033 in Patrington is to begin this month.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council will start work on a £458,000 resurfacing scheme on Monday 16 March to upgrade the road along Westgate and Northside in Patrington.

The work is expected to take seven weeks to complete, weather permitting, and will involve replacing the worn out road surface.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place during the works, however, due to the narrow width of Northside, a temporary road closure will need to be in place during that section of resurfacing.

Proposed dates for the road closure are March 27, 28, 29, 30 and April 13, but these are subject to change.

During that closure a signed diversion will be in place from Tithe Barn Lane to Westgate to via the B1445 High Street and Market Place.

The work will be carried out by the council’s own highway maintenance team.

It is being partly funded by a contribution from the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Local Enterprise Partnership’s Local Growth Fund. This funding was secured following the submission of a successful bid by the council.
