Learning provider takes on more than 18,000 sq ft of office space

Arden University has agreed a 10-year lease at a Leeds city centre location, as it looks to expand its base of operations across the north of England.

The learning provider – which has UK study centres in London, Birmingham and Manchester – will move into 18,100 sq ft of workspace at the newly refurbished 7 Park Square East as it continues its expansion into new markets.

Landlords UKI Ltd recently completed a comprehensive refurbishment of the building’s interior, which now provides modern offices, with Arden University leasing all of this space.

The leasing deal was brokered by JLL and Sanderson Weatherall, who acted on behalf of the landlord, while James Andrews International acted for the tenant.

Richard Thornton, director of office agency at JLL in Leeds, said:” The Covid-19 pandemic reframed the debate around remote study.

“This has allowed institutions such as Arden University to really come into their own, as more students undertake hybrid courses involving a mix of in-person and solo working.

“In 7 Park Square East, the university will have access to a high-grade office space in the heart of Leeds’ central business district and overlooking Park Square – the perfect environment for them to continue to grow as they provide students with the personalised services they need.”

Vitaly Klopot, chief innovation and commercial officer at Arden University, added: We’re incredibly excited to be expanding with our new study centre in Leeds.

“As a vibrant city with a young population, Leeds is the ideal next location for Arden University to make its mark.

“We look forward to supporting young people across the city as they gain the skills they need to succeed in the jobs the local economy needs now, and in the future.”
