Flurry of office sales and lettings deals completed at chartered surveyors

Leeds and York-based independent chartered surveyors, Carter Towler, has completed 18 office deals since the beginning of the year.

Since January the company has concluded deals across Leeds city centre including sales and lettings at Wellington Street, York Place, Park Row, Park Square, Oxford Row and South Parade.

Notable transactions include the letting of 5,568 sq ft on the ground floor of 1 East Parade to Goodall Brazier and the sale of 5,640 sq ft at Chantrell Court, The Calls to Fullers Foods. The frozen food supplier is creating an innovation centre in the city centre where it will conduct food tastings and client presentations.

Carter Towler office agency director, Clem McDowell, said: “We have had an exceptional 15 months and are happy to see that the momentum we have gathered looks set to continue.

“As a company we have just been recognised as West Yorkshire’s top dealmaker for 2023 across all sectors and my colleague James Jackson, received the top deal maker award for the number of transactions he completed.

“We continue to be very busy and are hopeful this next 12 months will prove to be as productive as last year.”

Jackson said: “We have been very active out of the city centre too. For example, we have negotiated new leases with four new tenants at Cliffe Park, Morley and let 6,000 sq ft to community healthcare provider CHEC at Wira Business Park, West Park.”

Managing director Ian Greenwood added: “It seems a number of key factors have contributed to this significant trading period for us: we have an established track record, 75 years in fact, so people tend to know who we are; we’re versatile, working with a very broad range of property types and sizes and we are responsive.

“I am particularly pleased with how quickly our departments have resumed office-based working – our clients tell us it really does make a difference.”
