Shepherd’s Purse Cheeses take flight

SHEPHERD’S Purse Cheeses based in Thirsk has landed a contract to supply its products to British Airways.

Passengers travelling First, Club World and BA’s new London City to New
York service, will be served the firm’s Yorkshire Blue cheese later this
year.

Shepherd’s Purse supplies its products through London-based Cheese Cellar – a national wholesale supplier of fine cheese, speciality foods and ingredients to
the UK food service sector.

Cheese Cellar sources its products from across the UK and Europe and wherever possible buys direct from family-run businesses like Shepherds Purse.

Katie Bell, marketing manager at Shepherds Purse Cheeses, said: “We are
delighted to be working with British Airways and we are confident that
customers will enjoy the taste of our traditionally handmade quality
Yorkshire Blue cheese.”
