Yorkshire property site sees surge in French luxury house enquiries

YORKSHIRE-based French property specialist My-French-House has seen enquiries for its most expensive houses in Riviera resorts like Cannes rise by more than 50%.
Director Patrick Joseph said he had just completed the sale of a £2m villa in Antibes within weeks of the property going on the market adding that top end homes in Paris and the French Alps were also selling well.
“The figures are not surprising given the improvement in the exchange rate and the fact that France hasn’t suffered the same price fluctuations as Spain and other parts of Europe, making it a better choice for investors,” he said.
Leeds-based My-French-House.com has recently updated its website to become one of the most comprehensive European property search portals thanks to a new system that allows images and descriptions to be added directly by authorised agents throughout France.
“By matching house hunters with suitable properties from our extensive database we can save them a lot of time and increase their chances of finding their ideal home,” said Mr Joseph.
As well as listing more than 2,000 property details the site provides detailed descriptions of French regions, local recipes, legal and insurance information and regularly updated news on The Frog Blog.
Mr Joseph added: “The aim is to give visitors to the site a real taste of France – its landscape, its culture and its food – but we also wanted to make sure there was as much information as possible about each property to help people decide if it is right for them.
